This tour is ideal for clients with limited time to spend in northern Tanzania. It gives them time to see most of the animals in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater. You will finish your tour at Materuni village, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, for your coffee tour and waterfalls hike.

Day 1 Arrival & Scenic Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha and drive across the Maasai Steppe to Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its ancient baobab trees and enormous elephant populations. Enter the park and begin an afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River circuit, the permanent water source that draws wildlife from across the northern circuit.

Day 2 Full Day Exploring Tarangire National Park – Big Five Wildlife & Landscapes

Full day in Tarangire National Park. Witness massive congregations of elephants digging for water in sandy riverbeds, flanked by herds of oryx, wildebeests, zebras, and impalas. Keep your eyes trained on the branches of grand acacia trees for Tarangire's famous tree-climbing lions and leopards. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch overlooking the river valley.

Day 3 Transit Game Drive to Lake Manyara National Park

After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled beneath the majestic Great Rift Valley wall. Pass through the groundwater forest where large troops of baboons and blue monkeys play among the mahogany and fig trees. Arrive for an afternoon game drive exploring the lake margins dotted with pink flamingos and buffalo herds.

Day 4 Full Day Exploring Lake Manyara National Park – Big Five Wildlife & Landscapes

Full day in Lake Manyara. Explore the hot sulfur springs of Maji Moto, observe tree-climbing lions resting high on umbrella acacia branches, and walk out onto the wooden boardwalk extending over the alkaline lake waters teeming with birdlife.

Day 5 Final Sunrise Game Drive & Departure from Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater
